Turned on 24-7

A mother, who was injured in a car crash in 2007, says life has become unbearable after she was left permanently aroused by a damaged nerved in her pelvis. Might sound like fun at first but think of going around twenty four hours a day, seven days a week, fifty two weeks a year with a hard-on. Not so much fun now?

Joleen Baughman who is 39, says the slightest movement could set her off and no matter how much sex she has she would still be feeling unfullfilled and wanting more - despite more sex being too painful to undertake. Vacuuming, sitting on a bus, bending over or even walking across a room can send her into a state of arousal which she can never satisfy.

Mrs. Baughman said:

I started getting these intense sexual urges. They would come out of nowhere and completely engulf me. It would last for most of the day. I was really shocked because normally I have practically no sex drive at all."

She has been diagnosed with Restless Genital Syndrome also known as Persistent Sexual Arousal Syndrome. At first, her husband was thrilled, as Mrs. Baughman admits she had a low sex drive previously. But after a while, the never ending sex that left her still aroused became a major problem.

She added: "Brian was ecstatic. He was like, 'Wow for once in our marriage, she is the one who wants all the sex. I was delighted too. I thought: 'Finally I'm getting a sex drive and I can give my husband what he wants'. We would have sex once and I would feel no release at all, So we would go again and then it would start really hurting but I would still want sex, even more than before. If my husband managed to go for a third time it would be agony but I would still feel no release."
