Priest calls revenue a bunch of bastards

priestA priest in Ireland has called the Revenue Commissioners there a bunch of bastards and cunts saying they had blood on their hands. The astonishing outburst from the priest in front of his parishioners, comes after he was named and shamed on a list of tax defaulters in the country.

Fr Tadhg O'Donovan, curate at Whitechurch,Co. Cork, Ireland said of the tax collectors:

"They are the biggest shower of bastards on the planet: an almighty shower of cunts — may God forgive me,"

Fr. O'Donovan was fined a total of €433,475 for under declaration of income and capital gains tax. It comes on top of a previous settlement with the Revenue Authorities for €213,000 after he failed to declare income from rental properties. His tirade of abuse against the authorities comes against the backdrop of an investigation in child abuse by the Catholic Church in Ireland stretching back forty years. Fr. O'Donovan claims the publication of his name was timed to coincide with the publication of the abuse investigation to cause maximum publicity for the Revenue Authorities. He slammed their treatment of people under stress from not being able to pay their taxes and the government for their wasteful spending of it:

"I know of people who have committed suicide because of their treatment at the hands of the Revenue Commissioners. They have blood on their hands and I hope they have contentment for Christmas...In fairness, if you look at what the government do with the money then it's no wonder people don't want to give it to them,"

The priest is now fully tax compliant.
